Administration and human resources

Discover the many opportunities in administration and human resources with us: Whether purchasing, accounting, HR, marketing or sales - you actively shape the change in our nutrition.

Training as an Industrial Plant Maintenance Mechanic (m/f/o)

Your role

  • Over the course of 3½ years, we will familiarise you with how to keep our machines and production systems operational so that our production always works perfectly from start to finish.
  • Specifically, you will produce individual components and parts, install them in technical systems and set them up perfectly – including final commissioning.
  • If faults occur in the systems, you will be able to deal with them easily – we will show you how to identify all faults accurately and restore the systems to working order.
  • Lessons at vocational college will bring you up to speed as far as materials engineering, control, regulation and information technology and technical communications are concerned.
  • The practical part of your training also offers a number of learning opportunities for you: in addition to tasks such as drilling, turning and milling, you will learn how to read and apply circuit diagrams and process and function plans correctly.
  • Last but not least, we will teach you which aspects of environmental protection and occupational safety play a central role in your professional future.

Industrial clerks

This is what you will learn at our company:
  • know-how in all sub-areas of business: material purchasing and storage, production, personnel, accounting, marketing and sales – in a balanced mix of day-to-day business and project work
  • the planning and management of production processes, the creation of duty rosters and organisational plans in personnel, the accounting, as well as the negotiation with customers and the implementation of marketing measures
  • background knowledge at vocational college regarding business administration, economics and Business English

Warehouse and logistics

In the right place at the right time: This is the place to be for anyone who wants to lend a hand and get things moving.

Warehouse logistics specialist

This is what you will learn at our company:

  • all details of warehouse logistics – from warehouse receipt and unloading, sorting and storage, to checking of accompanying documents
  • to compile deliveries, to plan routes in an environmentally friendly and efficient way, and to draw up delivery notes and customs declarations
  • to load containers and wagons safely so that nothing can slip or run out
  • what else is important in quality assurance – in addition to humidity and room temperature
  • the commercial processes: writing offers, handling orders and payment transactions, managing inventory tasks and creating simple annual statements

Warehouse specialist (m/f/d)

This is what you will learn at our company:

  • all logistics processes – from goods receipt, storage and picking, to secure loading
  • to create shipment documents and delivery notes, to determine key performance indicators, and to check inventories
  • everything one must know about the storage and shipment of food
  • to drive industrial trucks, e.g. forklift trucks and stacker trucks

You offer the following:

  • Good secondary school leaving certificate ("Hauptschule") with equivalent grades in mathematics

Professional driver (m/f/d) milk collection lorry

This is what you will learn at our company:

  • first of all, of course, to drive lorries until you have gained the driving licence category C/CE
  • to collect milk from farms and milk producers and transport it to the dairy
  • to record milk volumes and take samples – including specialist knowledge with regard to the Milk Quality Regulation, the Protection against Infection Act, and environmental and occupational safety

You offer the following:

  • No younger than 17
  • Good school-leaving qualification
  • Category B driving licence – already obtained or completed by 18 years of age
  • Willingness to work in a two-shift system, seven days a week, plus physical fitness

IT

IT is the backbone of our company. (Virtually) nothing is possible without it. Logically, we have no desire to relinquish this important task to anybody else – which is why we prefer to train our specialists ourselves.

Specialist computer technician (m/f/d) for application development

This is what you will learn at our company:

  • to develop complex software solutions, among others to map company in-house processes
  • to analyse processes, plan IT projects, and purchase and present new software
  • to administer multimedia and infrastructure systems and impart IT knowledge to others appropriately – as an administrator, developer or consultant (m/f/d)
  • various programming languages, system tests and licence agreements
  • background knowledge at vocational college relating to the networking of IT systems, the correct tapping into sources of information, and subject-specific Business English

You offer the following:

  • General qualification for entrance to a university of applied sciences (“Fachabitur”) or (very) good school-leaving qualification from an intermediate secondary school (“Realschule”)

Food technology and nutrition

The heart of our business: milk processing. Quality and hygiene are the be-all and end-all here. What else is part of our recipe for success? We'll tell you in your apprenticeship.

Training as a Milk Technologist (m/f/o)

Short description

At our site in Zeven, we are looking to appoint several trainee milk technologists (m/f/o) for the Production department with effect from 01/08/2019.

Your role

  • Over the course of 3 years, we will show you how to prepare milk as a raw material for further production – to make butter and cheese, for example, or other products.
  • You will get to know product-specific recipes and standards, immerse yourself in the world of process control technology and learn the key areas of process monitoring.
  • Of course, you will also be involved in putting the relevant systems, machines and equipment into operation professionally and in cleaning and refitting them.
  • You will be able to deal with faults in production easily, as your training teaches you how to rectify them quickly and easily.
  • Lessons at a vocational college will bring you up to speed in assessing and guaranteeing the quality of the milk and in producing mixed milk drinks and cheese.
  • Last but not least, the practical part of your training will bring you into contact with a wide range of statutory food regulations, environmental protection provisions and product-related packing technologies.

Our requirements

  • Very good secondary school qualification (high school or secondary school qualifications)
  • Good marks in mathematics and natural sciences: biology, chemistry, etc.

Training as a Milk Industry Mechatronics Engineer (m/f/o)

  • Join us and develop both professionally and personally | Your training
  • Over the course of 3½ years, we will we familiarise you with everything you need to know to make mechanical, electrical and electronic components for complex systems.
  • Your services will be required when systems have to be put into operation, programmed and the essential software installed.
  • You will learn how to understand circuit diagrams and construction drawings and gain valuable insights into the areas of plant maintenance and refitting.
  • Lessons at a vocational college will bring you up to speed as far as systems analysis, pneumatics and hydraulics are concerned – and we will also teach you which aspects of technical safety must be considered.
  • The practical part of your training also offers a number of learning opportunities for you: in addition to testing and commissioning, you will learn how to keep all of the tools and testing equipment ready for use.
  • Last but not least, you will be able to deal easily with faults and malfunctions – in the course of your training, you will discover how to rectify them quickly and precisely, and even how to prevent them happening in the first place.

Training as a Milk Industry Laboratory Technician (m/f/o)

Your role

  • Over the course of 3 years, we will show you how to carry out chemical, physical and microbiological analyses of milk products – and therefore safeguard the various stages of production.
  • You will learn how to take samples, analyse them thoroughly with modern laboratory equipment and document your findings.
  • Your knowledge of monitoring, additives and packaging materials will be required, as ultimately you are responsible for consistently high quality.
  • In the area of environmental analysis, we will teach you what you need to know about the elements of water and air, how cleaning agents work in detail and why hygiene is so important.
  • Lessons at a vocational college will bring you up to speed on how to analyse living systems in detail – you will also discover how to record data and organise manufacturing processes optimally.
  • Last but not least, in the practical part of you training you will encounter a wide range of equipment and IT systems and discover the secrets of sensory testing.

Technology & Electronics

State-of-the-art systems and equipment are used in the production of our milk and dairy products. Operating them professionally is something that needs to be learned from the ground up - ideally in one of our four apprenticeships.

Machine and systems operator (m/f/d)

This is what you will learn at our company:

  • to put production machines and systems into operation and to monitor them – including production and quality control
  • to control and check the material flow for milk, cheese and other dairy products
  • the valid standards for occupational safety, quality, hygiene, environmental protection and energy efficiency
  • maintenance and cleaning, since cleanliness is essential in food processing

You offer the following:

  • school-leaving qualification from an intermediate secondary school (“Realschule”) or lower secondary school (“Hauptschule”)
  • technical skills and a high level of quality and hygiene awareness

Electronics technician for automation technology

Your job
  • In 3.5 years, we will familiarise you with our operating, production and process facilities - from automation systems to measurement and control technology to communication technology.
  •  In the process, you will be called upon to work at a wide variety of levels. For example, you will install, optimise and programme our respective control equipment or systems.
  • You will also learn how to install bus and control lines and wire measuring equipment - so that everything functions smoothly from A to Z.
  • The lessons at the vocational school will make you fit for system analysis, the optimisation of automation systems, the safety of operating equipment and system programming, among other things.
  •  The practical part also has a lot of input in store for you: In addition to measurements, configurations and assessments, we show you how to optimally plan and organise your work steps.
  • All in all, with us you will become an experienced specialist for a wide variety of automation systems and plants in the industrial production environment.

Internships for pupils

You don't know yet exactly which profession you should choose? Within the framework of a student internship for 1 to 3 weeks, you can get a taste of your favorite field. In doing so, you will gain your first experience and get to know the different facets of the profession up close. A student internship is possible throughout the year.

With the "GROW" program, the DMK Group initiated a process over several years to improve training. The main issue was how trainers can better accompany their trainees in their personal development. However, this approach is usually not institutionalized in companies' training guidelines. We are now leading the way with a pioneering project to introduce new structures and standards. So that you and all other trainees can be trained even better and more sustainably.

Alliance for YOUth

As a member of the Alliance for YOUth, we support young people under the age of 30 in particular and want to give them an easy start to their careers. For school students, we offer exciting training opportunities and student internships in numerous occupational fields. Students can gain an impression of our work and acquire additional qualifications or write their final thesis with us during internships that accompany their studies.
