DMK is showcasing how consumer trends are transformed into dairy and non- dairy solutions at this year’s FIE.

Let’s talk about vegan

DMK Group with its business unit Industry, is presenting new concepts at this year’s FIE springing directly from market needs. Consumers’ health awareness is at an all-time high following the pandemic, and it has brought about unprecedented scrutiny into all product categories. To be successful in the market it is critical to understand not only these mindset shifts but to have the technical expertise to deliver them into solutions that work. Presented under the topic #Trendslation- we transform trends into dairy and non-dairy solutions, DMK will be introducing its recently launched Velander®, a vegan cheese alternative specifically developed for hot applications. Furthermore the business unit Industry will be showing new products in both dairy and non-dairy that address trending topics such as improving the nutritional values on pack. Experts from wheyco, dP Supply and DMK Ingredients will be on site to discuss how to apply solutions and customize them according to individual brand needs. In live cooking with the well-known chef and impulse giver Heiko Antoniewicz, the company has numerous culinary inspirations to show.

Let’s talk about vegan
Plant-based food has become one of the most important food trends of our time. DMK are dairy experts and as such are well-placed to also offer alternative plant-based solutions that are technically feasible and delight the consumers. With its Velander®,  DMK is setting new standards in the market: because the product came off as the best-rated vegan cheese alternative in tests by customers and consumers and is also one of the first for industrial use. More vegan solutions that can be discovered at this year’s show include the encapsulation technology introduced by dP Supply.

Contributing to healthier products
According to latest studies by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, “front-of-pack nutrition labels can guide consumers towards healthier diets” (1). DMK is translating this trend of improved nutritional values on pack, into solutions that can lower fat and salt contents while not compromising on the taste or texture. Visitors at this year’s show can discover delicious concepts that address additional topics such as management of protein also for vegan consumers.

In live cooking with impulse giver and professional chef Heiko Antoniewicz, visitors can convince themselves of the diverse application possibilities for DMK products that translate trends into real solutions, they can taste the delicious creations and talk to the expert teams on site.
