PLMA 2017

DMK PRIVATE LABEL presents new value added concepts

Bremen, May 2017. DMK PRIVATE LABEL will showcase itself at this year's PLMA in Amsterdam as an innovative idea-generator and problem-solver for food retailers. In addition to attractive novelties such as Skyr products in a range of different varieties, the DMK GROUP's new Business Unit will focus on its widening spectrum of goods and services. Retail partners can find out about its comprehensive service at the DMK stand.
DMK has a long track record as a high-performance, dependable private label supplier. The company is now building on this position. Thorsten Rodehu?ser, Chief Operating Officer DMK PRIVATE LABEL, says: "DMK is an expert in the private label business. This sales channel is one of the company's main strategic pillars. Our core business will concentrate on three key areas going forward. One of these will be sustainable dairy farming, based on our Milkmaster Programme, which responds systematically to our customers' demands for responsibly, sustainably produced raw milk".

In addition, the new DMK Business Unit offers selected product lines from cows fed on non- GMO feedstuffs. The majority of DMK's fresh dairy portfolio for German retailers is already made from GMO-free milk, and the company is Germany's largest producer of non-GMO dairy products in the private label sector.

In addition to demand-led product concepts, another key future element of the core business will be a holistic consultancy approach. "We want to be a meaningful and competent conversation partner for our customers in category management, portfolio design and other sales-related aspects," says Thorsten Rodehu?ser. "Our goal is to support our retail partners in the German and European markets as effectively as possible in improving their profitability and customer retention".

Trend concepts for successful private labels

DMK PRIVATE LABEL processes raw milk into high-quality products made to its retail partners' individual requirements. The Business Unit's 360° service ranges from product ideas to packaging, founded on value-adding concepts tailored precisely to the customers' private label segmentation. Stefan Keller, Director Sales & Marketing, explains: "We serve all price segments with our broad portfolio of cheese and milk products. In addition, as Germany's largest dairy company, we can offer security of supply. We pick up on current trends and develop fast-selling product concepts for our retail partners". One example is the new Skyr products presented by the DMK Business Unit at the PLMA show. The portfolio ranges from natural Skyr to fruit variants and Skyr drinks. Added to this are further innovations in the white line (fresh dairy) segment and newcomers to the cheese range, including naturally 1 matured cheese and products made with genuine Dutch meadow milk. Retail partners are set to benefit even more from DMK PRIVATE LABEL's core business in the future. With the addition of products from sustainable dairy farming and non-GMO lines to the portfolio, retailers can respond to food consumers' increasingly high expectations. Visitors to PLMA can find out more on these subjects and the Business Unit's new positioning at the DMK stand F-5272 in Hall 1.
